Mid-week check in
An update from the parfum search: I found two Diptyque stores in the span of an afternoon, smelled Olene twice, and IT IS TOO SWEET. (Why the caps? I don't know, why not?)
That might have been the end of my parfum search, as I've re-discovered some scents in my wardrobe, but then- Ormonde Jayne, the minx, crept up on me while I unsuspectingly read this blog.
So, alas, the search for samples continue. Or more trips to actual stores, which incidentally is what I'm doing this Sunday (Sat?) !

Regardless. Moving on to cooking adventures, (why not 'culinary'? sounds much too fanciful meepmeep) I am the proud uh, maker of this dish:

But consequently, this amount of washing had to be done:

Vastly improportional, I know. I never have the efficiency, or talent for doing the washing while cooking, sad.
I am proud to say that double cream can be used two days after the expiry date on the packaging, without any severe side effects, whoo.

Parfum
I have been trawling the 'net looking for fragrance samples from uk sites to no avail! Everything looks dodgy, or don't carry the scent I want... oh Diptyque Olene, why are you so elusive! Even though one site (out of the many, many I have browsed) claims you to be "the most popular scent from Diptyque", yet you still hide from my tired eyes !

Damn you and your lovely packaging and glorious reviews.
I still can't bring myself to shell out for the sample from a us site, I have too many sitting on my shelf waiting to be (re)discovered.
Or perhaps I should stick with reading perfume blogs and maybe find another scent that sounds as intriguing and worth the enormous shipping fee for such a small vial of gorgeous smells?
